GE Range Oven set switch

I have a very old GE range model number 486Y1WH and I took off the oven set switch to clean the contacts. After cleaning the contacts I went to put the switch back on and found two small metal bars laying sideways where the switch gos. I have tried to reinstall with the bars in what looks like the right position but the switch will not install. Any chance there is a schematic available that shows the correct position of the bars?
