Need cable pinout for Royal RC40 scale
|
|
|
I'm hoping somebody here HAS this scale, and more importantly has the
tools and skill set to probe it's cable for me.
The scale has a 9-pin DB9M. So a PC cable would be female-female.
It isn't straight through, nor did a null-model help.
It is non-standard!
Well they provide the wire, but I got mine without.
It is completely useless if I can't upload the new rates into the scale.
Anybody?
Help!
Thankx, in advance.
Jack

Does the scale's interface look like RS232, or is it TTL? That is, do
the scale's pins produce voltage swings of +/-12V or 0-5V, or
something else? If RS232, which are the output pins, ie which pins are
held at logic high or logic low? Input pins will probably float at
close to 0V. Is pin 5 the scale's ground pin? Is any pin connected to
the scale's metalwork?
